“The Only Thing That Is Constant Is Change”- Heraclitus

That is exactly how we feel at Casa de Abby.  We now have 14 girls!  One of the original 3 girls has left, our 18 year old is in the transitional living program, and we were asked by the Honduran child services to take on 4 new girls.

This means- we have 9 girls in the transitional living house which was originally built for 3-4.  Four girls are residing with Michael and Karen in the Directors house and the 1 in our transitional living program, is living in an apartment at the end of the farm road (~10 min walk).

To say we are busting at the seams is an understatement. So, we feel it is time to launch into the final phase of our build campaign by year end. This phase will be lfocused on building the actual girls home, the administration building and Psychology building.  Once this phase is complete we will be able to house a maximum of 24 girls.

Again our desire is to emulate family for the girls and having more than that would negate our abilities to do so.
