Hard Week, But Rejoicing

December, 2022

In the middle of the month, I was informed that we had to move by the end of the month out of our rental home.  My mind was flooded with thoughts.  "How are we going to do this?"  Christmas decorations were already put up and staff vacations were already planned.  We had nowhere to move to. The next day a staff member contacted me that she tested positive for COVID.  Our girls started feeling bad and so did I.  We had 2 friends down from the States and they, out of caution, left the next day to be safe.  All our Christmas plans seemed be ruined.  I cried out to God for help.  We found a home to rent just minutes from the home we were in.  We made an agreement.  We began packing and taking down the Christmas decorations.  My staff really stepped up, as I was at home for a few days sick. On December 22 we moved our children's home and offices.  The next day we put everything in place and redecorated for Christmas. Praise be to God by Christmas Eve, exhausted as we were, we moved, Christmas lights were up, presents were under the tree, everyone was well, and we had a wonderful Merry Christmas.
